As the vice president of health promotion and wellness and dean of the WVU School of Nursing, Tara Hulsey, PhD, understands the need for qualified nurses in West Virginia. She is taking her passion for nursing and education one step further by providing $25,000 for WVU nursing scholarships.

WVU and the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties invites the public to their 14th annual Blue & Gold Mine Sale at the East Concourse of the Milan Puskar Stadium (May 12) from 7 a.m. to noon. All proceeds from this large rummage sale will benefit United Way. The early bird admission is $5 (7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.) and free admission will begin at 8:30 a.m. Shoppers will have the option of purchasing a custom reusable bag to fit as many items as the bag will hold for one flat rate of $20. National Healthcare Expert to Deliver Kandzari Lecture
Dr. Marianne Baernholdt, a nationally and internationally recognized healthcare expert, will present “Rural Nursing Practice: Challenges and Rewards” at the West Virginia University School of Nursing’s 2018 Judy C. Kandzari Lectureship. The event will be held on Thursday, April 26, in Okey Patteson Auditorium at the Health Sciences Center beginning at 6 p.m.
