Congrats,
Graduates!

As the Class of 2023 gathers to celebrate, this moment offers a chance to stop and think about the journey they have taken together in our mission to improve the health and well-being of West Virginians — and beyond.

We know that wherever they go, they will help to make the world a better place, taking with them the values that make Mountaineers truly special — service, curiosity, respect, accountability and appreciation. They have chosen a life that seeks to better the lives of others, through health, wisdom and compassion. And we can’t wait to see what they do.

Message from Dean Hulsey

As I have always said, nursing is not just a career — it is a calling. You were called to this profession for a reason and I’m so glad you have answered the call. Nursing leaders like you are needed throughout West Virginia and beyond.

School of Nursing Dean &
E. Jane Martin Endowed Professor

WVU School of Nursing offers an in-depth, standardized program of excellence with a more advanced BSN curriculum that prepares their students for advanced careers in leadership roles. Changing careers later in life as a nontraditional student with a family, I wasn’t willing to settle for anything less than excellence.
