WVU launches fundraising campaign to aid underrepresented students

Historic and systemic obstacles, made more pressing by the COVID-19 pandemic, mean current and prospective students from underrepresented groups often need financial help to start or continue their education at West Virginia University. The WVU Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is launching a crowdfunding campaign to raise scholarship support for students from these groups.

WVU School of Nursing raising funds for Family Nurse Practitioner suture kits

In order to perform lab work, post-graduate students pursuing Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification need immediate access to individual suture kits at home. These kits cost $155 each, creating yet another financial burden for students who have faced many economic challenges – and hurdles to higher education – caused by the pandemic. The WVU School of Nursing is raising funds to help those students get the kits they need.
