May Graduates Application and Licensure - Graduate Students
All MSN, Post-Grad Certificate, DNP & PhD Students must apply for graduation through DegreeWorks by March 6, 2020.
- Log in to Portal (https://portal.wvu.edu)
- Click on the DegreeWorks Tab
- Next to the Graduation Application field, click the "Apply to Graduate" link
PhD Students
You will need to provide the “date of qualifying examination” and the “term of admission to candidacy”, as well as your committee members. This has often caused problems for some students. If a committee member isn’t listed you will need to choose a pretend or fake committee member (doesn’t matter who) from the list. Your application will be changed, to reflect the correct committee, when your application is approved by the HSC Graduate Programs Office.
DNP Students
You will need to provide the “date of qualifying examination” (use your capstone approval date) and the “term of admission to candidacy” (use the current semester: 202001), as well as your committee members. This has often caused problems for some students. If a committee member isn’t listed you will need to choose a pretend or fake committee member (doesn’t matter who) from the list. Your application will be changed, to reflect the correct committee, when your application is approved by the HSC Graduate Programs Office.
ETD Submission
Doctoral students must also submit their dissertation through the WVU Libraries website (http://etd.lib.wvu.edu/) by May 1, 2020 at 5:00 pm.

Transcripts
Students can request their transcript through their MIX account. Students should check their unofficial transcript after May 17, 2020, and only order their transcript after their degree is awarded, not pending. The Office of Student Services will send an email when your degree has been posted to your transcript.
The Student is responsible for any outstanding WVU Fees (all fees must be paid or a transcript will not be sent).
