The majority of the second cohort of West Virginia University School of Nursing Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Nurse Anesthetist graduates will remain in West Virginia to provide care close to home.

Pallottine Foundation of Huntington provides scholarship funding for WVU School of Nursing-trained Faith Community Nurses

Thanks to generous funding from the Pallottine Foundation of Huntington, the West Virginia University School of Nursing, in collaboration with FaithHealth Appalachia, is expanding its Faith Community Nursing program into Boone, Lincoln, Mason, and Wayne counties. Nurses in these counties can receive a full scholarship for the all-online, 8-week Faith Community Nursing program. The next course will begin Sept. 15, 2025.

Beckley Campus nursing faculty showcase science and creativity during GEARUP, STEM Camps

WVU School of Nursing Beckley Campus professors Cynthia Clark and Linda Angus recently helped showcase how “science meets creativity” during interactive sessions at GEARUP and STEM camps.

WVU School of Nursing faculty, staff participate in Pittsburgh Marathon Relay

Two teams of WVU School of Nursing faculty and staff recently participate in the Pittsburgh Marathon Relay to promote teamwork, health, and well-being. The marathon relay, held May 4 in downtown Pittsburgh, was divided into five legs of varying distances. Together, each team member in the relay contributed to running a full-length marathon.
