Olivia Cress, a WVU School of Nursing student who balances her time between academics and athletics on the WVU Women’s Track & Field team, recently made program history placing in the top 5 for the programs pentathlon event. She shared her journey to being a nursing student and how she balances that with track.
WVU Health Sciences partnership with First Presbyterian aims to help the community through outreach and screenings
The WVU School of Nursing, the WVU School of Pharmacy, the WVU School of Medicine, and First Presbyterian Church have collaborated to provide clinical service as an outreach program for people experiencing homelessness and poverty in the Morgantown area. Some of the services include checking vital signs, blood glucose screenings, glaucoma screenings, health education and pharmaceutical education.
