Assessment of nursing survey to begin

The Quality and Patient Safety Council is in the process of assessing the results of a survey of nurses about the effectiveness of using a CDI (clostridium difficile infection) quick reference guide at WVUH.

The aim of the survey was to assess the utilization of the nursing Kardex as an effective educational tool for CDI interventions and isolation. The results of the survey will be used to determine if placing educational information on the nursing Kardex is an effective tool at our institution. This study was reviewed and approved by the West Virginia University Institutional Review Board (IRB).

Please contact Stephanie Kish in the Center for Quality Outcomes or Cathleen Kealey at Chestnut Ridge Center if there are questions or concerns.
