Summer internship programs at the National Institutes for Health

The NIH Summer Internship Program (SIP) is now accepting applications for summer 2016. In addition to full-time biomedical research opportunities, we provide career development opportunities for all summer interns, including workshops, courses, journal clubs and access to the OITE Career Services Center. WV STEPS open house set for Dec. 4

The expanded and improved David and Jo Ann Shaw Center for Simulation Training and Education for Patient Safety – WV STEPS – will welcome visitors to an open house from 2:30-4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4. The center is located on the third floor of Health Sciences South.

School of Nursing honorary receives international award

The West Virginia University School of Nursing’s Sigma Theta Tau – Alpha Rho honorary took home its first-ever Chapter Key Award during Sigma Theta Tau International’s 43rd Biennial Convention in Las Vegas earlier this month. Alpha Rho was honored with a Chapter Key Awards which honor chapters that excel in membership recruitment/retention; publicity and programming; professional and leadership development; and local, national and international collaboration.
