2023 Dean's Message

Alumni and Friends,

I am excited to share with you all our second edition of the West Virginia University School of Nursing magazine, Vital Signs, which highlights our achievements and accolades throughout 2023.

Our Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and our Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) programs were ranked in the top 100 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. Several of our graduating classes received a 100% first-time pass rate on their respective licensure exams. We also launched a new program, LPN to BSN, which will allow licensed practical nurses an opportunity to climb the clinical ladder.

As you will see throughout the magazine, the WVU School of Nursing family has a shared vision of excellence — in education, in research and in community care, both at home and abroad. To join us in sharing your Mountaineer pride, we have created some WVU Nursing stickers for you to place on your laptop, water bottle or wherever you see fit.

Maintaining strong relationships with our alumni and friends is essential to us. I hope you will all follow along with us on our social media channels, as well as in our monthly electronic newsletter, The Central Line. To ensure you receive all our communications, please make sure your contact information is up to date by visiting www.connecttowvu.com.

Thank you all for being strong supporters, partners and friends to the WVU School of Nursing.

We couldn’t do what we do without our Mountaineer family by our side.

Let’s Go!
