As the result of a required review and site visit by the West Virginia Board of Nursing, the WVU School of Nursing received final approval to offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at West Virginia University’s (WVU) Potomac State College (PSC) campus.
Applications are now being accepted for the teaching scholars program, a teacher development program which combines online resources with informal weekly discussions from September–May. Scholars prepare for the informal discussions by reading the resources on SOLE.
Tara Hulsey, dean of the West Virginia University School of Nursing and vice president of Health Promotion and Wellness for WVU, was unanimously re-elected to serve as the president of the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses.
As part of its accreditation process, the West Virginia University School of Nursing will be undergoing an on-site evaluation of its baccalaureate degree program in nursing (BSN); master's degree program in nursing (MSN); Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program; and Post-Graduate APRN Certificate program with the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) for September 26 to 28, 2018.
