The West Virginia University Health Sciences Campus in Morgantown is the largest concentration of health care, research and health professions resources in West Virginia. WVU’s Camp Kesem, an on-campus student organization that works with the National Kesem mission of being a child’s friend through and beyond their parent or guardian’s cancer, is looking for student volunteers. Camp Kesem works year-round to create a space where kids can just be kids, have fun, and be with other children who understand their family struggles.
The WVU School of Nursing Keyser Campus held a White Coat and Pledge Ceremony on Oct. 4 for sophomore students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. The White Coat Ceremony emphasizes compassion and the human connection from the very beginning of clinical training.

WVU School of Nursing students volunteered Oct. 5 at the 2022 Veterans Golf Classic, offering assistance with vital signs, registration and raffle tickets. The WVU School of Nursing also served as a sponsor of the event, thanks to coordination by Professor Emeritus Dr. Sandra "Sam" Cotton.
A brand new campus of the WVU School of Nursing was unveiled Tuesday during a ribbon cutting ceremony at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. Classes will begin at the new campus on Jan. 9, 2023.
The WVU School of Nursing will host two events during Diversity Week, including “Factors Influencing Faculty Decisions to Teach LGBTQ Content in Undergraduate Nursing Programs: A Journal Club Discussion” and “Overcoming Challenges Associated with Rural Nursing in Zimbabwe.”
The WVU School of Nursing has recently established an ambassador scholarship program on its Morgantown Campus. Led by recruitment specialist Phillip Engelkemier, the ambassador program offers a scholarship to selected students, who will serve as representatives for the school during on-campus tours, events and more.
