WVU School of Nursing faculty member chosen for sixth IDEA Fellows cohort

Five new WVU faculty members, including Heather Carter-Templeton with the WVU School of Nursing, have been selected by the Office of the Provost following a rigorous application process as the recipients of the 2022-24 Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship Applied Faculty Fellowship, a multi-disciplinary initiative to bolster WVU’s culture of entrepreneurship and innovation.

WVU School of Nursing students attend National Student Nurses Convention

Five West Virginia University School of Nursing students from the Morgantown and Keyser campuses recently attended the 70th Anniversary Convention of the National Student Nurses Association. Hosted in Salt Lake City, Utah, the convention was held April 6-10 with a theme of “Here’s to the Heroes.”

An article on providing palliative care to patients with advanced dementia written by West Virginia University Section Chief of Geriatric, Palliative Medicine and Hospice and Grace Kinney Mead Chair of Geriatrics R. Osvaldo Navia, M.D. and West Virginia University Clinical Associate Professor in the WVU School of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner at the WVU School of Nursing and WVU School of Medicine Lori Anne Constantine, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, ACHPN, was recently published in the March issue of Nursing 2022.
