WVU School of Nursing recruitment specialist elected president of WVACRAO

Phillip Engelkemier, a WVU School of Nursing college recruitment specialist, has been elected President of the West Virginia Associate of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization dedicated to helping provide college exploration opportunities for students in West Virginia.

WVU to offer two new service learning classes

The Service-Learning Faculty Advisory Committee, responsible for providing guidance on academic community engagement at WVU, has recently expanded academic offerings with the approval of DENT 767: Rural Community Dentistry Experience and NSG 441: Nursing in Complex Community Systems.

WVU School of Nursing remembers Dr. E. Jane Martin

Dr. E. Jane Martin, PhD, 88, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Stonerise Nursing Center, Morgantown, following a brief illness. Martin earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from WVU in 1963. She later served as dean of the WVU School of Nursing for 15 years, from 1992-2007, and filled in as WVU’s interim provost from 2008-09.
