WVU School of Nursing to offer faith community nursing education program

For many cities and towns, faith-based organizations are integral to the overall well-being of these communities. During the past 10 years there has been an enhanced interest from healthcare professionals to address the unique needs of these organizations. To address this growing area of specialization within the nursing community, the West Virginia University School of Nursing will launch a new faith community nursing certificate course in fall 2016.

WVU alumna recognized for outstanding contributions to nursing

Each year the West Virginia University School of Nursing honors a graduate who has gone above and beyond in service to the University and the School, as well as achieved professional success in his/her profession. This year, the School recognized West Virginia Delegate Amy Summers as the 2016 Alumna of the Year.  

WVU School of Nursing and WVU Medicine to celebrate National Nurses Week

Nearly four million nurses around the country provide extraordinary care to patients every day. In honor of these men and women, the WVU School of Nursing and WVU Medicine will celebrate National Nurses Week by hosting a Nurses Week Carnival at the Erickson Alumni Center on Wednesday, May 11, 2106, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
