Potomac State and West Virginia University announce plans to offer Bachelor of Science in Nursing

West Virginia University’s (WVU) Potomac State College (PSC) is pleased to announce the official signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the WVU School of Nursing and PSC to offer the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program on the Keyser campus. The School plans to begin offering the four-year academic program beginning in fall 2018, upon approval from the West Virginia Board of Nursing. The signing will take place on June 29, 2017 at 10 a.m. in the Davis Conference Center.

National healthcare expert to deliver Jenab lecture, nursing students to be honored

Dr. Michael Bleich, a nationally and internationally recognized healthcare expert, will present “Nursing Leadership: A Call to Action” at the West Virginia University School of Nursing’s 2017 Lorita D. Jenab Lectureship. The event will be held on Thursday, April 27, in Okey Patteson Auditorium at the Health Sciences Center beginning at 6 p.m. 

WVU School of Nursing to offer in-state tuition to all students in RN-BSN program

As hospitals and other healthcare organizations across the country work to address the need for highly trained nurses, the West Virginia University School of Nursing is doing its part to address those demands. Beginning in fall 2017, the School will offer in-state tuition for all students (regardless of residency) to enhance professional opportunities for nurses through the online Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-BSN) degree program.
