WVU School of Nursing to host virtual open house for Beckley campus March 8

The West Virginia University School of Nursing is hosting a Virtual Open House for the Beckley campus Bachelor of Science in Nursing Tuesday, March 8 at 6 p.m.

During the event, attendees can hear from a panel of guests, including Dean Tara Hulsey, Beckley Division Chairperson Hillary Parcell, faculty members and a student, all of whom can provide insight into the program, answer questions and address any concerns.

"This open house is a great opportunity for prospective students to learn more about our program," Parcell said. "A career in nursing is an opportunity to meet the healthcare needs of southern West Virginia or beyond."

The Virtual Open House is geared toward high school juniors and seniors, but anyone is invited to attend. Specifically, attendees can learn about first-time freshman program entrance requirements, receive an in-depth overview of nursing curriculum, and view a video highlighting the benefits of the Beckley campus.

“If a student has lingering questions, or if they're on the fence about WVU School of Nursing when comparing other programs, I would encourage you to attend,” said Recruitment Specialist Phillip Engelkemier.
