RN to Master of Science
The RN to MSN program is designed for the registered nurse who is a graduate of an associate degree nursing program and is interested in a program leading to the Master of Science in Nursing degree. The RN to MSN can be completed in as little as eight semesters of full-time study, with students earning a BSN (RN to BSN Program) and then progressing to the MSN portion of the program. The program is offered online, with some on-campus sessions (Morgantown and Charleston) required for the MSN portion of the program.
The RN to MSN degree at West Virginia University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
*Please note: The School of Nursing offers in-state tuition for the RN-BSN program, regardless of residency. The appropriate in- and out-of-state tuition applies to the MSN portion of this program.
RN-MSN Progression Plan
RN-MSN students complete a three-year, full-time program. Please view the Program of Study for more information. Part-time programs of study are available on request.
